Seth had just finished patrolling La Push and his blood was pumping full of adrenaline. He had thought that he had smelled something different; something unusual. And so he followed it all the way from First Beach to Hoh Rainforest to the houses in La Push. But, thankfully, it was nothing. Maybe his senses were off, which he had to admit, scared him. What if it was because he hadn't imprinted yet and therefore he would lose his wolf abilities? He had never heard of that happening, but he wanted to know, nonetheless. So he began to walk. He wanted to keep his thoughts to himself, and he couldn't do that while he phased and was in his wolf form.
However, before he knew it, he was at La Push High School. It had been several years since he last stepped foot in La Push High, but so many memories can flooding back to him. He smiled, thinking about everything he had done while in school, the pranks he pulled and the friends he had made, many of whom had gone off to "real" colleges, while he stayed in La Push going to the community college. But, being a werewolf and patrolling La Push was part of his job. Would he ever really be able to leave? Would he want to? But, he hadn't imprinted on anyone, so maybe he should leave. Travel and find his imprintee. He would definitely talk to Jacob and Leah about it the next time he saw them.
He went and sat on a table outside of the school, sighing as he sat down on the cold, wet picnic table. He looked at his watch and realized that it was almost time for the kids to get out of school. But, why should that matter to him? He wasn't doing anything wrong; he was just sitting. If anything, he could probably still pass for a high schooler. He returned back to reality when he heard the loud final bell ring and he heard the rush of kids running out of the school.

Erika was delighted. This was her first day of school here, and she didn't have any homework. First off, because she was knew, and second, because she already knew everything they were teaching, which was a good thing. Her way to her locker wasn't long, and she only grabbed her sweatshirt, hence the fact she didn't have any work to do. Leaving her bag in her locker, the door closed and she opened the doors to the outside world.
The first thought she had of La Push was that it was a small little neighborhood that no one has ever heard of. But, once she got there, it was a lot larger then she thought. Especially the High School. But, the fact was, that she didn't have anything to do after school. Ever. Her mother worked all day long, and came back later then dinner time. Her stepfather? Who knows. She didn't like him, but had to deal with him because her mom was married to him, obviously, but she could care less. Her real father is out in the world somewhere, and she has no idea what his name even is.
Once she got outside, she breathed the fresh air and smiled as she exhaled. Her eyes wondered the school yard, and they landed on some picnic tables. There was another person there, a boy in fact, which made her nervous. Erika was NOT the kind of person to be close to boys. She was staring at the table, rolling back and forth on the balls of her feet, hoping that the boy there didn't think she was staring at him.

After several minutes of watching students rush out the doors of La Push High, Seth had decided he'd had enough. All these kids and not a one whom he had imprinted on. Seth didn't really know exactly what would happen when he imprinted, but he would probably feel something at least. But, alas, nothing. Not even a tingly feeling in his heart. He scoffed to himself and shook his head. Here's to wishful thinking. He said to himself quietly.
However, just as he looked up, he saw a girl, she was probably fifteen or sixteen, rocking back and forth on her heels as she stared at him. He looked around, he was the only one sitting where she was looking, and he smiled at her. Just a friendly, welcoming smile. He had never seen her around before, so she was probably new. Seth liked her, she was very pretty, with long, jet-black hair and a petite frame. She was probably no taller than his sister, who was about five foot five, but from where she was standing and the way she was rocking back and forth, he couldn't really tell.
He continued to smile, while waved to her, before saying: "Hey there, are you okay?"

She snapped out of her reverie as the boy smiled at her. Her skin blushed a deep pink color as she smiled back at him. Erika stopped rocking on her feet and licked her lips, still quite embarrassed at the fact he saw her staring. She hadn't meant to, but some thing just happen, right?
Before she even did anything, he waved her over with another smile.
"Hey there, are you okay?"
Erika looked up at him and walked over to him slowly and carefully so she didn't fall over, being the clumsy girl she was. Gulping down the lump that had formed in her throat, she sat down across from him wearily and nodded her head. "Yes, I am alright. Just, first day of school and all," Her smile brightened softly, but the blush began creeping up the back of her neck once more.

Seth smiled as he watched her come to the table. He could tell that she was nervous, but he hoped it wasn't him. It was just boring old Seth Clearwater, imprint-less. But, perhaps she had been in a bad relationship, maybe she was just naturally shy. He didn't know, but there was something about her that made him want to know more about her. She had a very mysterious quality about her. He took a closer look at her. She was very pretty, with dark brown eyes and small, dark lips and dark skin.
"I'm Seth Clearwater." he said, pausing as he extended his hand to her. "Are you new? I haven't seen you around here lately." he asked.

"I'm Seth Clearwater. Are you new? I haven't seen you around here lately."
Erika gave him a small smile and shook his head. She shuddered inside at the sudden warmth of his hand. She has never met anyone that warm before. She pulled away slowly, hoping she hadn't hurt his feelings. "I'm Erika Michaels. And yes, I just moved here a few weeks ago," She smiled softly at him.
She bit her lip and studied him a little bit. He had dark, dark brown hair, almost black looking. It was short, but just enough hair for someone like him. His eyes were a dark brown as well, and his skin was nice and tan. The build he has was strong and sturdy. She felt the blush warm up her cheeks yet again at the thoughts that were running through her head.

"Well, pleasure to meet you, Erika." he said warmly. It had been such a long time since he had actually smiled. The past few years it seemed that he had only be putting on his "fake" smile, to keep everyone thinking like there was nothing wrong, that everything was okay. But with Erika, he felt his heart flutter and his emotions could all be described as happy, loving ones. Not feelings full of emptiness or despair.
"So how long have you been in La Push?" he asked, wanting to get to know her better. He probably figured that she lived either on the reservation or near it, as she was going to La Push High, as that seemed to be the only logical explanation. But, it wasn't something entirely unheard of for someone who didn't live on the reservation to go to school here.
He watched her closely. She seemed very cautious about him, which sadden him slightly. He wanted to know why, but he didn't want to bombard her with questions and scare her off, either.

"Well, pleasure to meet you, Erika."
"And you, as well." She smiled at him. She felt slightly more confident in herself with talking with him. Never in her life had she been this talkative, and less with a boy! So, this made her happy for herself, and happy for him that she hadn't run away yet.
"So how long have you been in La Push?"
Erika had to think about this a minute. "Well, we moved in about a month ago, then got settled in with the house and everything. That's why I only started school today," She shrugged at him, not knowing really what to say.
